The path to a life of purpose and free of bad decisions does not begin with an intimate relationship with another person, it is not found by joining a certain group, and it is not achieved through material wealth and riches. All of these are wonderful additions to our lives, but real purpose is found only when we make a strong connection to the God who created us, the Source of all animation, energy and light. Early Christians were called followers of the “Way.”
The “Way” can be found by learning and practicing Jesus’ way of treating God and others as recorded in the Bible. We recommend an easy to read and accurate translation such as the New Revised Standard Version or a paraphrase such as the Living Bible.
At Exodus Foundation.org, we simply live out the Way to the best of our current ability. We do not require that you believe in Jesus or have any particular faith in order to receive our love and care. We are very willing however to share our faith and point you toward the God who asked us to be your servant when you came home from prison. A licensed or ordained minister will be available if you desire to discuss spiritual matters more deeply.
